How we ship it to you

Your order leaves directly from our Guijuelo factory bound for your home. No intermediate warehouses, no extra handling, no passing through third parties. Here we tell you how long it takes, how much it costs and how it travels, so you can buy with the peace of mind of knowing what to expect at every moment.

Times by zone

Times are counted from when the order leaves the factory, not from the moment of payment. Orders with slicing or deboning may add a preparation margin. They aren’t contractual commitments: they vary depending on the time the order is received and the carrier’s load.

How much shipping costs

Carriage is not included in the product price: it’s calculated automatically in the cart according to the order’s weight and the destination. The parcel weighs between 3 and 9 kilos depending on the piece, which affects the final cost.

How your order travels

We look after the packaging as much as we look after the piece. Every order leaves in a rigid reinforced cardboard box, with interior insulating material for large pieces (whole hams and shoulders) and heat-sealed vacuum bags for the sliced and deboned formats.

A detail of real care: hams and shoulders travel wrapped in greaseproof paper inside a black cloth bag with a drawstring, designed so you can hang the piece directly on receipt. It isn’t a decorative accessory: it’s the format that best preserves the piece once out of the packaging.

Important for peace of mind: cured ham doesn’t need refrigerated transport. It’s a product that’s stable at room temperature thanks to the natural curing process in the cellar; in fact, carrying it cold would be counterproductive for its aromas. That’s why we ship it with conventional carriers specialised in food, without cold-chain surcharges that add nothing to the product.

You’ll receive the tracking number by email as soon as the parcel leaves Guijuelo, so you can follow it in real time to your door.

If I’m not home on delivery

No problem:

When we dispatch

Orders are dispatched on working days. Those received from Thursday at 16:00 are shipped the following Monday so they don’t sit idle in the carrier’s warehouses over the weekend. If you specifically need Friday shipping, tell us in the order and we’ll coordinate it.

And if it arrives in poor condition

The order is considered delivered at the moment of signing the carrier’s receipt. That’s why the procedure if something isn’t right is as follows:

  1. Check the piece at the moment of receipt. You have 24 hours from receipt to verify the product and raise objections with us.
  2. If the outer packaging arrives damaged, it’s essential to record it on the carrier’s delivery note at the moment of delivery — without that record, the incident is difficult to cover even if the piece is affected.
  3. Notify us of the incident by email at info@jamongourmet.es stating the order number, with photos of the box and of the piece if applicable.

Our 100% guarantee covers a product defect, a shipping error and transport damage: a full refund or replacement of the piece, your choice. The policy is aligned with the shipping and returns legal page, where you’ll find the formal deadlines and the detail of consumer rights.
